CHICAGO– Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on December 24th, 2020, reviewing the new film “Wonder Woman 1984,” in select theaters and streaming on HBOMAX on December 25th, 2020.
This sequel to the first origin film has Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in 1984 Washington D.C., where she gets involved with a TV huckster (Pedro Pascal), her co-worker at the Smithsonian (Kristen Wiig) and a magical ancient stone that grants wishes. The price everyone will pay becomes the theme which counteracts the travails of 2020. Merry Christmas, indeed.
